Determining the volume of a body.

a) If the body has a regular shape, there is a formula for finding its volume. In the case of a cube it is base x width x height.

b) Whether or not the body has a regular shape, you can submerge it in a test tube of water and see the water it displaces (this volume is that of the body).

Once you know the mass and volume find the density by dividing the mass by the volume and indicate the units. Example  181.7 g / 64 cm3 = 2.83 g / cm3
