                                     3.1 Refraction

What is refraction?

When light passes from one material medium to another it changes direction; this phenomenon is called refraction. The refraction of light depends on the relationship of its velocities in each medium and its angle of incidence

Velocity of light in m/s

vacuum   2,99792.108
air 2,99702.108
water  2,25407.108
glass  1,99861.108
diamond 1,24034.108
