DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

As its name suggests, this path leads to La Bodega, a farm that once functioned as a wine cellar. The cultivation of vineyards was of great importance and dominated these lands until the terrible plague of phylloxera, in the 19th century that forced a change in use and olive groves were planted, which will accompany us for almost the entire route.

The route is fairly easy, both on foot and by bicycle, with excellent views of the orchards near the Bocaleones stream and the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park Reserve Area.

Along the way, we will see other plants, such as carobs, gall oaks, butcher's broom, laurustinus, mastics, cistus albidus, phlomis purpurea, kermes oak, gorse, daphne gnidium, chamomile, linden. Among these plants there are several species of warblers, partridges, rabbits, mongoose, mountain goats, foxes and weasels; while birds of prey such as hawks, eagles and griffon vultures soar in the sky (it is one of the largest colonies of vultures in European).
