DESCRIPTION

This observatory is located within the Salina de Carboneros trail signposted hiking trail, in an area of unique importance for the nesting, resting and feeding of numerous aquatic birds, such as flamingos, storks, avocets, dunlins, cormorants and gray herons.

Additionally, you can see some impressive water labyrinths with pikes trapped in the loops and turns, as well as the Carboneros stream, which feeds the Sancti Petri stream, the main water artery of the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park.

Access via the CA-2134 road or the Barrosa beach road at the Las Mogarizas urbanisation, before reaching the 'Venta del Popeye' inn. It is located 400 m from the Carboneros 1 observatory.
