DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

The town of Cortes de la Frontera is located in a privileged enclave, flanked by the Natural Parks of Los Alcornocales, Sierra de Grazalema and Sierra de las Nieves. For this reason, the visitor center of this beautiful municipality in the Ronda region is becomes a door through which to access these three natural spaces (Attention: this visitor center is located 42 km away from the closest access to the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, located at kilometer 13.6 of the A-397 road that connects Ronda with San Pedro de Alcántara. Estimated travel time: 50 minutes) .

Get to know its landscapes, its nature, its history and its people is is the proposal that from this equipment is offered to the visitor to enjoy the richness that each one of them contains. Of these natural spaces their great diversity and contrast are surprising, but at the same time they share many elements in common. Water, for example, plays a fundamental role in these parks, shaping the morphology of the landscape and fostering the survival of such unique and relict forest formations, such as the Sierra de las Nieves and Grazalema pinsapares, or the Los Alcornocales laurel forest.

Through large panoramic views as well as three-dimensional elements, a quick visit to each of these parks is simulated in which to observe their peculiarities. Three interactive stations with a touch pad connected to a screen allow a more in-depth journey through these territories.

The human being is also a common factor in all of them, since it has influenced the evolution of their landscapes through agriculture and the various uses of the mountain, as reflected in the exhibition that the visitor will find inside this center and especially in its audiovisual "Nature is you".

The center is accessible to people with physical disabilities. In addition, some of its elements have been enabled for hearing and visual disabilities.
