CORTIJO DEL NACIMIENTO - PRADOS DEL CONDE - Ventana del Visitante
The route runs along the Castril riverbed for most of its journey, until its source, in the heart of the Sierra de Castril Natural Park. During a comfortable hike, you will discover this river with clean waters, bordered by wickers, twill, ash trees and poplars, and into which a multitude of streams pour their waters that excavate deep and majestic ravines, topped at their mouths by narrow closed ones.
We will ascend through this beautiful route to the upper part of the park, whose highest levels, reached by the peaks of Mojón Alto and Cerro de la Laguna, flank the mountain meadows. Certainly a demanding and uphill path, but one that will lead us to those meadows where, between spring and summer, most of Castril's cattle ranch grazes. A unique incursion into the ways and forms of life that have maintained and transformed a harsh and hostile environment, but also one of breathtaking beauty.
Also, this tour will help you to discover the starting points of other routes.
