EL BRONCE - Ventana del Visitante
This circular trail passes through the Santo Cristo plain and provides access to the waters of the Rumblar Reservoir, running alongside it for part of the route. In addition to allochthonous pines, rockrose and rosemary, among others, the nicknamed “huertos de barranco” - essentially orchards in the ravines - such as Banderas, Tío Feo and Miguelico can be seen along the route.
The name refers to the terraced orchards that use the stream running alongside them for irrigation, and in some cases they are helped by constructions such as wells, waterwheels, a water tunnel and a water mine.
The Del Bronce trail also offers numerous alternative, free routes such as one that brings visitors close to the fort of Migaldías, a fort that controlled the land linked to the mining exploitation of the basin during the Bronze Age.
