MAP
HOW TO GET

From the municipality of Güejar Sierra, we take the track that goes up towards Cortijo Balderas and Collado del Alguacil, but turning off much sooner to the right to go down to the Maitena river and Molino del Coto. We continue along a long and steep climb with numerous crosses, which takes us to the top of Loma de Papeles, next to a fire guardhouse. From here we begin to have exceptional views of the Nortes de la Sierra Nevada. Later, leveling off, we reach the chain that closes off the road to unauthorised vehicles. There are still 5 km to walk along the hill to the shelter.
