A medium-length path, with an interesting route since it goes from the southern slopes to the north in a short space of time, which allows us to contemplate the change in the vegetation. There are many botanical species that we can observe and that are typical of the Mediterranean forest. We will find oaks of considerable size, centenary Valencian oaks, repopulated pines such as Aleppo or maritime, maples, rose hips, terebinths, hawthorns, gorse, thyme and many more.
Starting from the peaceful Gibralberca recreational area, where we will find centenary holm oaks, we take a path that will take us to a point from which we can contemplate the crest of Mágina on its south face with several peaks of the mountain range that exceed 2,000 metres in height, such as those of Almadén, Pico Mágina and Ponce. We can also see the different levels of vegetation depending on the altitude. On the way down we will reach la Umbría de Cano and on that part of the path it is unusual to see golden eagles.
Accessed from the A-324 road (Cambil-Huelma), between the towns of Huelma (9.1 km away) and Cambil (10.2 km away). This is the beginning of the path leading to the Gibralberca recreational area.
