Located in the Estribaciones de Sierra Mágina Site of Community Importance, just over a kilometre from the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, in an area of excetional value in terms of the landscape and environment.
There is a fountain with a single outlet and 7 contiguous basins, whose waters do not usually run dry. It consists of an area of picnic tables and benches with extensive shady areas in which there are some hundred-year-old holm oaks. There are barbecues that can be used, except in the period of high fire risk. The predominant vegetation is the scattered holm oak grove together with dense pine forest formations.
.
From here we can do the Gibralberca hiking trail which is 5,139 metres long and we can enjoy beautiful views of the south face of the Sierra Mágina Natural Park., taking in the sights of the Cerro Almadén peak (2,036 m), the Pico Mágina (2,160) and the Ponce peak (2,061 m) among others.
From Cambil we will follow the A-324 road until km 16.5, at that point we will take the track that goes to the right after passing the Mata-Begid visitor centre, heading towards Huelma (9.1 km from Huelma and 10.2 km from Cambil). This track coincides with the path called Gibralberca, so we must exercise extreme caution behind the wheel since we may come across hikers. After travelling for 2 km, we arrive at the recreational area.
