DESCRIPTION

The magnificent Tejeda mountain range surrounds the La Alcaúca Restricted Camping Area. In it, the visitor will have services such as barbecues and tables at their disposal, as well as toilets and water fountains. This facility make it possible to rest during meals outdoors.

A forest composed mainly of maritime pines and a gentle slope with old terraces shape the landscape of this environment of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. Near this facility you will find the Alcázar-La Maroma hiking trail that leads to the highest summit of these mountains that stand at over 2,000 metres in height.

In the period from October to April, the Granada Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of the Environment and Territorial Planning grants the authorisations that will be requested 15 days in advance. The rest of the year, due to high risk of fire, its use as a camping area is prohibited.

The maximum number of people per site and day is for a single group of 20.

HOW TO GET

From the A-402 road from Alhama de Granada to Fazarralla, at km 39.8 there is a fork to the left, at this point there is an entrance sign to the natural park. We continue about 3 km of forest track that must be driven with caution until we reach the camping area.
