This is located at the end of the Fuentes de Zóñar trail and has a passageway equipped with information panels on the white-headed white-headed ducks. Once inside the observatory, there is information on the different species of birds that can be seen on the nearby water surface of the Zóñar lagoon. For this reason, coming armed with binoculars or a telescope will liven up your visit.
Bird watching helps us to understand the intrinsic value of this permanent water wetland that reaches 16 metres in depth in places, and is the only natural lake in Andalusia.
Accessed from the A-45 motorway (exit km 40), taking the road that connects Aguilar with Puente Genil (A-304), we continue along this road, from which we will see the recreational area of the Villares de Zóñar. About two kilometres from the exit, we reach the visitor centre. The equipment is located at a distance of approximately four kilometres from Aguilar.
