This viewpoint has wonderful views due to its privileged location, being almost entirely surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Protected Area and with the Sierra de Gador ahead. At the bottom and framed in the middle of the Andarax River valley, is the town of Laujar de Andarax. This is part of a mosaic of colours, textures and nuances: the crops of almond trees, olive trees, small orchards or vineyards make up this beautiful picture.
It is interesting to note that this is the only place in the province of Almería where grapes are grown for the production of wine and that the valley has the perfect conditions for their cultivation.
To the left of this panorama, you can also see the towns of Fondón and Fuente Victoria, which, together with the smaller towns of the region, share a rich and splendid mining past.
Leaving the municipality of Laujar de Andarax and heading towards Paterna, take the first track on the right.
