This observatory is located on the Tres Amigos-Río Arillo signposted trail, on the route to the left of the car park heading towards Camposoto beach. This observatory allows for a closer look at one of the most interesting areas in the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park for bird watchers. In this area, you can often see flamingos, avocets, godwits and terns, along with many other species of birds.
Likewise, this area is of significant ecological interest; being one of the most important coastal wetlands for the reproduction of aquatic birds and a fundamental place for the numerous species of fish and invertebrates to reproduce and lay their spawn.
From San Fernando, take the road to Camposoto beach. In front of the barracks there's a eucalyptus forest where the trail begins. This trail forks into two different routes. Taking the path to the left, 760m from the start of the trail, will lead to this observatory.
