The path, which starts in the vicinity of the ZAC La Fraguara, leads to the Mirador de las Juntas. It starts ascending along a forest path next to the La Fraguara ravine. Leaving the GR-7 turn-off to the left (which connects with Charches and the Los Blanquizares path), you reach the ruins of Cortijo Nuevo. The remains belonged to the main house of a large property. The terraced land now occupied by poplar groves used to be the old farmland of this enclave. The threshing floor and even the oven can still be seen.
Once the summit line is reached, the field of vision widens and we can see the Gor river ravine to the north, with the limestone limestone hills in the background, and the Sierra Nevada to the south. At this point we find the Mirador de las Juntas viewpoint where there is a panoramic sign interpreting the territory.
The descent is made along the Cañada del Peral through different types of vegetation; first a dense reforestation pine forest with isolated specimens of holm oaks and an incipient natural regeneration of these; then old farmland, now abandoned, and finally open bush vegetation.
You finally reach the forest track where you will find the entrance to the La Fraguara Recreation Area and the starting point.
