The Morilla cycle route runs through the Navas del Berrocal mountain, it has a length of 25.61 kilometres.
The Navas del Berrocal mountain is a place with a landscape of great beauty where we can enjoy the plant forms that are typical of Sierra Morena: holm oak and cork oak groves, riverside vegetation and gallery forests associated with streams, areas of Mediterranean oak scrub, mastic, rockrose and strawberry trees. There are also areas reforested with pines and eucalyptus.
The fauna is very varied and abundant. The presence of deer, otters, small terrestrial mammals and a great variety of birds of prey such as the owl and the imperial eagle stand out.
This forest is subject to sustainable forest management, with exploitation of forest resources such as cork and beekeeping. The area also features livestock, with pigs and sheep, as well as rural tourism and hunting.
Along the route through this cycle lane, it is possible to observe "el Berrocal": large granite rocks that by the action of the wind acquire original and striking shapes.
The departure and arrival, as in the case of the Cancela Negra cycle route, is made from the Cortijo el Berrocal visitor centre. This centre has car parks as well as complementary facilities and the Cortijo el Berrocal recreational area.
The Las Rañas, Los Arrianales and La Mancha del Berrocal trails also start from the visitor centre .
The Morilla cycle route begins at the Cortijo del Berrocal visitor centre.
The best way to get to the Cortijo el Berocal visitor centre is from Almadén de La Plata, from where a lane starts to the Vega del Tirado gate, entrance to the mountain.
