DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

There are two distinctly different ecosystems along which this trail runs: the magnificent La Algaida pine forest, and the Los Desamparados marshes and salt mines.

We will discover one of the traditional resources provided by this pine forest, settled on the solid ground, and we'll also see a curious way of harvesting the sea, the salt flats, converted in many cases into areas of marine agriculture.

The crossover between land and sea is accessible here thanks to an infrastructure designed for public use.

The hiking trail is really a walkway along which vehicles are not allowed, making this a perfect route for mountain biking.
