The forest track crosses the public mountains of Los Barrios and Algeciras, running through low mountains with lush vegetation of Valencian oaks, cork oaks and, in some sections, with streams crossing through it where the rhododendron spriung up accompanied by a multitude of ferns.
This lane has 3 viewpoints where you can see impressive views of one of the wettest mountain ranges in the province, where rainfall is scarce in summer but there is plenty of humidity and horizontal precipitation, which makes it possible for the typical flora of other latitudes to grow. The gravel path, is in good condition and the slopes are not very steep.
Take the lane at km 95 of the N-340 road (Algeciras and Tarifa), between the towns of El Pelayo and El Cuartón. You'll find the recreational area of El Bujeo. Another option is to start from the old Algeciras-Los Barrios motorway, in the Botafuegos area.
