DESCRIPTION
The path runs through the Cañada Real del Campo de Gibraltar, once an important communication route, which links the towns of Jimera de Líbar and Benaoján in this section. It runs parallel to the Guadiaro river, whose waters run a winding path looking for the easiest passes between mountains. Later, streams, paths and tracks repeated a similar journey. Finally, the more demanding railway also, with difficulty, adapted to this terrain. We will enjoy the result on foot, or from the window of the train.
The Guadiaro river flows into the Mediterranean after travelling 183 kilometres and over 700 metres of uneven terrain. It is one of the most important rivers in the Southern Hydrographic Basin. It is formed at the confluence of the Guadalcobacín and Guadalevín rivers, near Ronda, and borders the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park on its eastern side. During its journey, it collects water from several streams, joining the Genal river at the height of Casares and the Hozgarganta river at the height of San Martín del Tesorillo, ending its journey in the town of Torre de Guadiaro.

HOW TO GET
In Jimera de Líbar, go to the train station. Then, cross the level crossing and after a few metres cross the bridge over the Guadiaro river. It can also be started from the Benaoján railway station, from the next level crossing.

Avoid going out alone. If you do, communicate the route and time of return to other people.
Noise is another form of pollution. In silence you will enjoy your experience more.
Live respectfully with the locals and other users. Respect private property.
Facilitate use for people with special needs.
By consuming local products and counting on local companies, you will contribute to rural development.
Practice responsible tourism and committed to the environment. Be a true ecotourist!
Never leave your pet in the wild. It would endanger the flora and fauna of the place.
Get around in a sustainable way: public transport, bicycle, on foot, electric or shared vehicle ... Park in the designated places
Do not leave a trace of your passage through nature. The best memory you can take with you is your own photograph.
