DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

The gallery forest that accompanies the flow of the Rivera de Ciudadeja is one of the best preserved in the Sierra Morena, and is the main appeal of this path that runs alongside it.

As well as the interesting nature, which is without a doubt special and lavish, there are also vestiges of history that will appeal to the traveler's curiosity; the cañada real gorge through which we pass and the old hydraulic mills to name just two such examples.

At the beginning of this comfortable and cool walk, you pass through a gallery forest and after a gentle ascent, you reach the side of a valley of open oak woodland (dehesa) where, in the autumn sunsets, it is easy to hear the rutting season. After these grunts, the male deer in heat can be found clashing their antlers in displays to conquer or keep their harems of females.
