DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

This visitor centre is located within the urban nucleus of Sedella, and constitutes a very appropriate place to discover both the values of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park as well as the role that this unique protected space plays within the Network of Protected Areas of Andalusia.

It is a newly created building built by the Ministry of the Environment in order to fulfill the basic functions of information and promotion of the natural park. In it we find a central area where the reception and the RENPA store are found, offering personalised service as well as the opportunity to purchase traditional and artisan products from the area.

There is also an information point from the Protected Areas Network with a RENPAnet digital point, along with a small space for the entertainment of the little ones.

The centre also has an interactive model and a window-viewpoint, which has been equipped with different museographic interventions of various kinds that will allow the visitor to discover some details about the living beings in the natural park in a tour of the different landscapes. from the lowlands to the rugged, permanently windswept peaks.

The audiovisual room projects a small documentary about the nature of the park, which complements the information provided in an exhibition about the colonisation of this territory and which highlights the most relevant historical moments whose traces are still latent thanks to the rich historical and cultural heritage that these parts treasure.

The entire exhibition space is adapted for people with motor and sensory difficulties.
