DATA OF INTEREST
DESCRIPTION

The banks of the Los Molinos river is full of beauty and history, the reforested pine forests, the rocky ground that is a sign of the extreme climate, the landscapes of arboreal crops and in particular the almond trees, two viewpoints with exceptional perspectives, these are just some of the many reasons to take the hiking trail along which we will almost always be accompanied and guided by the great rocky mass of the Maimón Grande.

This hiking trail is complementary to that of La Umbría de la Virgen and you can see the effects of the continuous exposure to the sun in the mountains. On the south side, the landscape is arid, devoid of vegetation and subject to severe erosion problems.

Once you reach the top, another of point of interest is the panoramic view of the Hoya de Chirivel and Vélez-Rubio, now a commercial centre and an enclave of public and private services in the Los Vélez region.
