VIÑAS DE PEÑALLANA - Ventana del Visitante
At the entrance of the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park is the Viñas de Peñallana visitor centre, where you catch a first glimpse of the various features of the natural environment and the multitude of living beings that inhabit them.
As if a portion of the natural park had been extracted, in this centre, the visitor can feel its morphology or walk through a recreated Mediterranean forest where to identify plant species and their aromas or discover its inhabitants in a fun way. Numerous threatened emblematic species find refuge in these mountains; This is the case of the Iberian wolf, whose den is faithfully reproduced.
The Iberian lynx stands out among all the emblematic species of the park. Its traces will lead the visitor to discover its habitat and behaviour, as well as the problems that make it the most threatened feline on the planet.
In this centre you can also learn about the way of life of its inhabitants, its historical evolution and how a harmonious exploitation of resources allows the conservation of valuable environments such as the Andújar mountains.
