Los Alcornocales is home to a remnant of its past tropical climate, an interesting area of flora, unique in Spain:"canutos". The most significant species in these woods are laurel, buckthorn and rhododendron, growing here on account of the special climatic conditions of its narrow valleys, carved out by streams and rivers.
