On the Malaga side of Los Alcornocales Nature Park you will find one of the places with most history and legend in the area: La Sauceda. Access is on the C-3331 road. Its name is no coincidence, since it was a refuge for bandits and outlaws for centuries. It is now a recreation complex and the starting point for cycle routes and signposted trails. Spring is the best time to visit, when the rhododendrons are in bloom.
