From this viewpoint that is located on the Loma de los Morros, you can admire the amazing panorama that the peaks of the Sierra de la Almijara draw on the sky. At about 1,277 metres, the characteristic profile of the Peña del Águila stands out, drawn in the foreground between the peaks of Salto del Caballo and Los Machos hill. Here it is not unusual to see mountain goats. From this pulpit you can see unmistakable greyish tones, the result of the abundant marble present in these ridges.
It is especially striking in the conical dome of Pico del Lucero, which stands out from the rest of the peaks for its height and barrenness. Just below the river Cebollón can be seen, visible to our eyes by the characteristic riverside forests that outline it. In this beautiful place made up of rocks and trees, where the maritime pine or the maple are its best representatives, it is not surprising to come across the flight of emblematic birds such as the Golden Eagle or Bonelli eagle.
From the GR-3302 road that connects the urban centres of Arenas del Rey with Fornes, we take, halfway between the two towns, the exit signposted towards La Resinera. Continuing along this path we access the information point of the Resinera. From here, we take the lane to the left, heading towards the landing strip, through which we will travel without turning off at the different junctions that we come across. After travelling 9.25 km we will reach the viewpoint.
